Getting started
Create your account, connect the desktop app, hook up your first workspace, and recover quickly when a browser gets in the way.
1) Sign in on the web portal
Start here so your email, plan, and desktop app always refer to the same Mach Triage account.
- Use email and password or Google from the home page or the dedicated Login page.
- If a sign-in window is blocked, allow popups for this site and try again.
2) Open the desktop app from the browser
After you sign in, we open the Mach Triage desktop app for you when your system allows it. You may see a short confirmation step in the browser first.
- If the app does not open, use the fallback link on the page you see.
- If the browser asks whether Mach Triage may open, choose Allow or Open—this is how the desktop app receives your session.
- Leave the browser tab open for a few seconds while the connection step finishes.
Desktop callback route (`/desktop-callback`)
Sometimes the browser stops on a Mach Triage page whose address ends in /desktop-callback. That page exists so you can approve opening the desktop app, copy a link if your OS blocks the automatic jump, or finish sign-in when a provider opened a separate window.
- Expected: a brief screen with Open / Allow style actions and a copyable link if you need a manual path.
- Stuck in a loop: pause blockers, try another browser, and confirm the desktop app is installed. Use the copy control on that page instead of refreshing endlessly.
- Wrong site: make sure you are on the same Mach Triage website your desktop build expects (for example production vs staging).
3) Connect your first workspace
In the desktop app, pick how you want your first workspace to connect based on your plan.
- Free: exactly one workspace slot—either a local-only workspace or one connected provider (Jira with manual credentials, Linear with an API key, or GitHub Issues with a repo token). You cannot stack multiple paid cloud workspaces on Free.
- Pro: add unlimited workspaces, use one-tap sign-in for Jira, Linear, and GitHub when you want it, and keep manual options as a backup.
4) Verify plan status and access
Upgrades happen through secure checkout from your dashboard. Your plan label updates automatically—give it a moment right after purchase.
- Free access is available as soon as your account exists.
- After checkout, refresh the dashboard if Pro does not appear within a minute.
Troubleshooting quick hits
- Desktop did not launch: use the fallback link on the callback page, then check OS and browser prompts for opening Mach Triage.
- Still not Pro after checkout: wait a minute, refresh the dashboard, then email support with the address you used to sign in.
- Wrong account: sign out, close old tabs, and start again from the home or login page.
